ABOUT JIMMY BEANS:
The Jimmy Beans Wool story starts back in 2002 when Laura (aka Jimmy) and Doug Zander opened their doors in Truckee, CA, for the first time. They sold coffee (hence, Beans) and yarn, which eventually turned into a focus on our favorite stringsーWool! With these ingredients, Jimmy Beans Wool was born and began to thrive in the fiber space, both in person and online!
Flash forward to today, we occupy a 20,000 sq ft retail and warehouse space in Reno, NV, with yarn being our main bread and butter. Throughout the years, we've also joined hands with the likes of della Q and Madelinetosh, adding them to the Jimmy Beans Wool family. This all happened while we created our own line of needles, Jimmy's SmartStix, which has rounded out the local yarn store experience with the popular Maker's bags, artisanal yarn, and innovative needles!

Since opening Barker Wool in 2017, Dawn has revolutionized the knitting world with her innovative technique known as Assigned Pooling. In this class we will break from our SYNC shawl pattern, ROAM. Crawlers are encouraged to submit their SNYC Shawls and win great prizes. The Team Beans will be hosting a 'Best of the SNYC Shawl' contest throughout the crawl. Makers are urged to submit their shawls throughout the weekend, with first, second, and third-place winners being chosen by the Team Beans at the weekend's close.
